Lisa’s sister-in-law who booked me for her baby’s newborn session. Lisa liked my work and she booked me to photograph her second son who turned one. She booked two hour cask smash + outdoor family session. As she lives downtown, Stanley Park was her first choice and I was familiar with the park as I lived in West End not long ago. I did lots of family sessions there and know perfect spots.
Well, it was impossible to take Harvey’s photos. Somehow he kept crying when he was not held. So guess what? I took lots of family photos. It wasn’t a good day for Harvey. We all have bad days and I guess it is not different for little ones.
The cask smash was a different story. Harvey was a bit shy at the beginning but once he touched the soft mush cake, he was on it. He was having fun and his brother couldn’t wait to get in the scene. It was fun photographing two brothers playing together. Cash smash is really fun and it is even more fun when you have someone to play with.
Happy one year! And see you soon for a play date! I think it is pretty cool that I get to have a play date with my client. I am one lucky photographer.
