A newborn mini session is a photography session that focuses on capturing precious moments of a newborn baby within a shorter timeframe compared to a full newborn photo shoot. These sessions are designed to be quicker and more convenient for both the baby and the parents. Here are some key points to consider for a newborn mini session:

1. Investment: $450+GST
2. Duration: A newborn mini session typically lasts around 30-45 minutes, whereas full newborn sessions can last 1.5-4 hours.
3. Setup: The photographer will have pre-planned setups for the session, beanbag and/or basket setups. These setups are designed to be efficient and provide a variety of shots in a short time.
4. Poses: Newborn mini sessions usually focus on classic and simple poses that do not require a lot of time to set up. Common poses include the baby wrapped in a swaddle, sleeping in a prop like a basket or crate, and/or posed with their parents.
5. Location: Newborn mini sesions are offered at our Burnaby Studio or North Vancouver Studio.
6. Timing: Baby must be 1-4 weeks old.
7. Preparation: Parents are usually advised to feed the baby right before the session to ensure the baby is content and sleepy during the shoot.
8. Number of Photos: A newborn mini session includes 5 images printable up to 11×16. However, the photographer will still aim to capture a variety of shots that highlight the baby’s features, expressions, and the love of the family.
9. Editing: After the session, the photographer will edit and retouch our choice of images to enhance their quality and deliver a polished final product.
10. Delivery: The edited photos are then delivered to the parents in digital format, so they can easily share and print their favorite images.
11. How to Book: Email to rachel@rachelyoonphotography.com with your full name. Then we will send you the booking documents (all completed online including the payment). A newborn mini session needs to be paid in full at the time of booking.

Newborn mini session is a great choice for parents who want to capture beautiful memories of their newborn but have limited time or budget constraints. They offer a more convenient and cost-effective option while still preserving the special moments of a baby’s early days. Newborn mini sessions are available only for pre-planned days.
