Most of our clients book for the newborn session in months advance. We hope more and more expecting parents know that they need to book before their baby arrives like preparing a crib, car seat, stroller, etc. – probably even earlier than they go shopping for these must-have items. It is just the beginning of September and we have only one spot left for September due dates. We do take about 5 due dates per week on average and take last minute bookings (clients who contact after their baby is born) only when we have a spot available. When you book in advance, your baby’s newborn session is secured. When you try to book after your baby’s born, you are taking a risk of not being able to book with your favourite photographer.

Luckily, we had a spot for this gorgeous baby girl. The mom contacted us 5 days after her baby was born. The earliest we could fit her in was when the baby was going to be 15 days old. Even though we schedule our booked clients in between day 5 and 12 for the best result, we could photograph newborns after the first 2 weeks.

Olivia was so sweet and she slept quite well throughout the session. While she was awake, which happens a lot for 2~4 weeks old babies, she was still somewhat content and sleepy so we captured her beautiful eyes as well.

We love how the images turned out. But we really hope more and more clients are aware that they need to search for a photographer before their baby arrives.
