When Sonia came to my home studio, she was only about a week away from her due date. She wanted to make sure her questions are all answered and probably wanted to meet the photographer who is going to photograph her precious baby when he arrives. Photographing your baby in the first days is a time sensitive investment as it is the best to be done within two weeks from the birth. What if you don’t feel comfortable when you bring in your baby to your photographer’s studio? Most of my clients book me without pre consultation but I love to meet my clients before the session. When I had Sonia back with her newborn baby boy Nico, we were not strangers to each other.

Nico was only 6 days old when I photographed him. He is so tiny and wasn’t much bigger than a soccer ball. Nico was born during the 2014 World Cup and as his dad’s wish, we used a soccer ball as a prop. Italy didn’t do well this time but Sonia’s family had something very special to celebrate. Nico is a proud Italian and he might enjoy soccer a lot like his dad when he grows up.
