I had really special babies. All the babies are special to me but these two are even more special. They are boy and girl twins to be raised by two dads. It was the first session with two dads for me.
When I opened the door, I was looking for ‘mom’ as two men were standing. So it was quite a surprise but exciting surprise. During the session I learned about how these two sweet dads became parents to these precious twins. It was an extraordinary story and I was grateful for them sharing this wonderful life experience with me.
Poppy and Gus – the cuteness can’t get better than these two. Poppy was born later so technically a little sister but she is bigger than Gus. Gus has a bit of darker skin so it wasn’t too difficult to figure out who is who. Often when one is sound sleeping, the other was a bit fussy but often that is how it goes with twins at the session. But patience takes care of it and allows me to get these images.
I can’t imagine how much joy and love these two will bring to their dads, and family and friends around. I’d love to document their 1st years and that will bring so much joy to me, too. They were carefully and very intentionally created. I have great respect to the dads for their commitment.
I love diversity. I think it is a wonderful thing and what makes our lives exciting. No matter what your skin colour is, what believes you have, what you do, or who you are, I am grateful for you to bring your precious babies to my studio and sharing the exciting life with me. So yes, our studio is judgement-free. 🙂

Rachel, we absolutely LOVE all our pictures of Gus and Poppy. You truly are the “baby whisperer”. The picture of Gus smirking, OMG, how did you capture this moment? Amazing! Thank you.
Thank you Ryan! At the end of the long working day, your comment recharges me to 100%. It was my pleasure to meet you guys and get to photograph Gus and Poppy. I really hope to have you all again at my studio as they grow.
