I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago. For the first time, I was away from my baby for 4 days – the longest ever. There was WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Conference & Expo in Vegas and it was a great opportunity for me to find products to offer to my clients. There were tons of vendors and I was checking them out for two and half days from the opening to closing with not even a lunch break. I found quality products I’d like to offer to my clients and I am waiting for the samples to arrive.

At the expo, there were great photographer speakers as well. The amazing senior photographer, Amanda Holloway, gave a presentation on how to take YOUR BUSINESS to the next level and I loved her presentation. One of the things she talked about the beautiful appealing magazine style catalog she created to email to her potential clients instead of responding to inquires in email writing. As her potential clients scroll down the catalog pages, you can see how they fall in love with Amanda. I thought it is brilliant. So that is what I am working on right now – newborn photography catalog. I am not creating a full on magazine like Amanda but something that could give a good feel about who I am and what I offer.

Cover – I picked this image for the cover because it is in one tone – clean and simple – and she is a pure beauty to melt anyone’s heart.

Maternity Photography Page – I love the round shape image box that looks like a belly. I thought it is a perfect design to talk about maternity photography.

Gallery Page – Images speak loud. My catalog has lots of images throughout and I hope my potential clients fall in love with me as they see more and more of my work.

‘Moment with Dad’ Page – I love to create black and white images of baby and dad because I can emphasize how little the baby is when she is held in her dad’s arms or hands. So I thought I will designate one page to connect with dads.

The catalog will have between 10-15 pages when it’s finished. I am putting many hours in this project and I hope this catalog helps my potential clients choose me to photograph their babies to come.
